A critical part of developing the cultural evidence base for the West Midlands is to engage a broad range of culture-specific and non-cultural agencies and individuals in assessing what cultural intelligence already exists within the region and to identify the prominent research gaps.
The Cultural Research and Intelligence Network (CRAIN) is a virtual network providing members with the opportunity to feed local and sub-regional perspectives into regional cultural research.
Also, the Network acts as a sounding board for the Cultural Research & Intelligence Group (CRAIG). The activities of the group will be reported back to the Network and similarly, relevant information from the Network will be tabled at CRAIG meetings.

The Network is free and open to anyone who works with, or has an interest in, cultural intelligence issues. Register with us online.
Members receive a quarterly newsletter and are invited to attend a programme of seminars and events, as well sharing ideas, information and commenting on current research through our Observations pages.
