Plus offering you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have in a friendly and comfortable environment.
The course is specifically designed for Non-Muslim public sector professionals who work with and for Muslims from diverse communities, but is open to anyone from any background who wishes to learn more about Islam and the Muslim culture.
Courses are being run in numerous areas throughout the UK with previous dates having proven to be highly popular with delegates attending from a variety of public sector backgrounds, such as Social Workers, Teachers, Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Youth Offending Teams, Care Workers and many more.
Incorporating a visit to a local Mosque (where possible) it aims to provide you with:
- A better understanding of basic beliefs and practices
- Information regarding the background to Muslims
- A chance to discuss some public sector development issues relating to Muslim communities
- Group work that will enable you to discuss case studies
- A better understanding of the Implementation of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act and the religion and belief regulations.
Should a visit to a Mosque not be possible or if no Mosque is available in the local area, then a virtual tour of a Mosque will be used as part of the presentation.
