Description The Cultural Observatory paper on culture, people and place identified a number of gaps in the evidence about how the broad cultural sector contributes to individual well-​being and to improving “citizenship” in individuals. There is a wide range of case studies and small scale research projects about particular aspects or segments of the sector. However, there is no systematic evidence across the whole sector covering different aspects of personal well-​being.
