The Plan covers the period 2008-​11 and has been produced in conjunction with the new Coventry Sustainable Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement. It is not intended for this plan to repeat information that is contained in existing plans and strategies but to provide a headline document for the broad range of community safety work that is ongoing in the City. The Community Safety Partnership has responsibility for delivering the priorities contained within this Plan and is accountable to the Coventry Local Public Service Board and Coventry Partnership (Local Strategic Partnership) for overall performance. The delivery of community safety is currently taking place against a backdrop of significant public service reform. For community safety, the key area of change centres on the Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) reform programme which commenced with the Crime & Disorder Act Review in 2004 and which was rolled out from summer 2007.
