How do we capture the wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience within our collective heads?
By co-ordinating communities of practice and online directories, we aim to signpost people to where they can find the information they need, whether through individual experts, organisations or networks.

This Network is the main focal point for our communication with the West Midlands region. Members include data analysts, research officers, policy officers or information managers, for example. It's quick and free to register with us as a member.
As part of this Network, we coordinate four Topic Groups:

This directory lists people in the West Midlands who are willing to share information and advice in their areas of expertise.
The aim is to help visitors to this site identify contacts by subject expertise quickly and efficiently.
You need to be logged in to view the Directory. Register with us to get your password — you can add your details to the Directory of Specialists at the same time.
Interested in West Midlands cultural research? Join our Network and engage with a broad range of culture-specific and non-cultural agencies and individuals working on regional cultural research. This Network is co-ordinated through the Cultural Observatory.
Do you tender for research projects? We've created a Register of Consultants to help public agencies and voluntary sector organisations when searching for organisations to invite to tender. Each listing in the Register includes contact details and examples of the consultant's previous work. Also, previous clients of a consultant can add their contacts to act as a referee.
