How is the group made up?
The Regional Skills Partnership Data Group is made up of representatives from member organisations of the West Midlands Regional Skills Partnership. These organisations cover a broad range of activities, including policy development and implementation, advisory services, academic study and research.
What does the group do?
The Data Group's aim is to provide up-to-date intelligence relating to skills.
Each project commissioned by the Data Group provides statistics, evidence and analysis to help inform decision-makers in partner organisations across the West Midlands.
The Data Group also monitors and evaluates progress on existing projects and discusses any future skills intelligence requirements.
When does the group meet?
The Data Group meets once every two months to report back on progress made on existing projects. The Data Group also meets annually to discuss priorities and project requirements for the coming year. The Observatory chairs the meetings.
Membership
Any Regional Skills Partnership member organisation can be represented on the Data Group. Members (pdf, 110kb) will be active in developing skills policy or collecting data and intelligence, and will be expected to make a significant contribution in delivering the Data Group's objectives.
