We co-ordinate a range of networking and data groups, each focused on a particular theme or research programme.
These groups identify the right facts, statistics and research to encourage evidence-based policy within the West Midlands.
The groups are also forums for researchers and policy professionals to influence and guide our research.
Regional Data and Intelligence Network
This network is our main focal point in communicating with the West Midlands. Members include, for example, data analysts, research officers, policy officers and information managers.
There are four themed groups in the network, each with their own work programme and meeting quarterly at the Observatory.
Network members help us identify gaps in the West Midlands evidence base, which could be filled by new research. They advise us on what gaps in evidence exist and help prioritise the gaps we collectively seek to fill.
