Maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date regional resource catalogue is a major task that a relatively small organisation like the Regional Observatory cannot achieve without the help and support of individuals and partner organisations from across the region.
We actively encourage individuals and organisations to help us develop the regional resource catalogue by submitting details of data and information sources to the catalogue.
What resources are included in the catalogue?
There is a wide-range of resources included in the catalogue covering a variety of topics and subject areas. One of the simplest ways of finding out what types of data and information is available is by browsing the catalogue yourself.
You'll find national, regional and sub-regional reports, datasets, statistics and a wealth of other data and information sources published by respected organisations, all of which are relevant to the West Midlands region and/or its sub-regions.
Contribute to the Regional Resource Catalogue
If you know of any resources relevant to the West Midlands that are not currently included in the catalogue, why not submit them yourself?
You may have helped produce a report relevant to Worcestershire, or used a dataset to analyse housing market trends in the Black Country. There's a wealth of information that is being produced and if you have found an information source useful, so might someone else in the region. You can help raise awareness of it by submitting details into the resource catalogue. It's also a great way to raise the profile of your research and help influence policy making in the region.
Resources can be submitting using our online submission form, and all you need to do is register with wmro.org if you have not already done so. Submissions are welcomed both on an ad hoc basis and as part of larger, co-ordinated data and intelligence mapping projects.
If you would like to contribute to the catalogue but have not previously done so and would like some guidance, please refer to the submission process guidelines that are available in the Downloads tab on this page. Alternatively, you can contact Steven Dovey who is responsible for the maintenance of the catalogue.
Help us to improve the catalogue
We welcome any feedback on how to further develop and improve the catalogue and submission process, so that it continues to meet the expectations of our visitors. Please contact Steven Dovey with comments or take part in our discussion forums.
